A heat exchanger ensures complete climate control in your poultry barn. The word “heat exchanger” says it all: a product that exchanges heat.

The warm air is removed from the barn by the unit and the thermal efficiency ensures that the fresh air from outside is heated. This pre-heated outside air is then blown into the barn, which allows you to save on your heating costs.

What are the benefits of an Airhouse Heat exchanger?

A heat exchanger by Beekamp B.V. ensures that incoming fresh air is not mixed with outgoing barn air. This prevents temperature fluctuations and diseases in your barn.

The low energy consumption not only reduces the heating costs in your poultry barn, but you will also benefit from lower CO2 emissions and a significant reduction in emission of particulate matter. In addition, a perfect and constant climate in your poultry barn results in improved manure quality and lower ammonia emissions.

In short: lower energy consumption, more efficient farming and a better final product!

Why use a heat exchanger (RAV regulations)?

The “Regelgeving Ammoniak en Veehouderij” [Regulations Ammonia and Livestock Farming (RAV)] is based on the “Wet ammoniak en veehouderij” [Ammonia and Livestock Farming Act] (Wav). This ministerial decree contains the ammonia emission factors for barn systems, which are required to calculate the ammonia emissions of a livestock farm. For example when testing whether the livestock farmer complies with the requirements of the Activities Decree, the Wav and the Housing Decree.

The barn descriptions and emission factors are presented in BB and BWL numbers. These are available on Infomil.
